Hoad Monument
Hoad Monument is a 100-foot tower at the top of the 436-foot Hoad Hill. A prominent local landmark, this structure atop Hoad Hill provides panoramic views of Morecambe Bay and the surrounding countryside.
The monument is a replica of the Eddystone Lighthouse and was built in 1850 by public subscription as a memorial for Sir John Barrow. It can be seen from many miles and has become a symbol for Ulverston town. A great walk!
